Overpressure or “plus P” ammunition is an offshoot of the Magnum concept, wherein standard cartridges are overloaded to make them more powerful without requiring specialized weapon designs. Plus P will upgrade the stopping power and penetrating power of a firearm, as long as it’s strong enough to handle the load.
