In the Star Wars Universe, the Clone Wars, conflicts between the Galactic Republic’s Clone Army and the Confederacy of Independent Systems’ Droid Army, were the backbone of all events to come. Unknown to most at the time, Darth Sidious controlled both sides and used the conflict to gain power in the Galactic Senate, eventually using the Clones to form his army of Stormtroopers.
